Only Claire's game in pictures today

There were a total of three games today-- Andrea and I were each able to watch two.  I got pictures of Claire's game.  Her team won 3-0.  I was worried about the scoring situation in the first half because they had gone two games last week without a score, but they got three fairly quick scores in the second half today and got the win.  Audrey and April's teams also won again today.  I didn't get to April's game, but I understand she knocked in a couple goals.  Audrey also got a goal today and someone pointed out that their team has yet to give up a goal this fall.  Pretty impressive.

The "A's" were on the pitch again

Audrey put away another goal this week and her team won again.  Her game was in Lebanon, so it was nice to be playing on a nice grass field rather than the concrete, grass-hating wasteland in Albany.  April's team was shut out today.  I understand the team she played had a few ringers and the word on the street is that they have been hustling some U6 soccer games on the side.  I guess you can't blame them, what with the state of the economy and all...

More Soccer! Claire's second game of the day...

It's Saturday, so we were out cheering soccer games.  Claire had two today-- the pictures are from the second game-- and Audrey and April had one each.  It was a great day to be outdoors-- plenty of sun, but not hot.  Claire's team played the same team twice today (once in Albany and later in Keizer) and no goals were scored in either game.  I seem to recall they won last week 1-0, so there will be quite a celebration next time they get one in the net!

Audrey and April had their week two games at the same time today on fields that were about 50 yards apart.  Most of us were able to watch at least parts of both games, with the exception of Andrea, who was coaching April's game.  Both of their teams had great games and, although no one was counting, they both scored four goals.  With a week like this, they have set the bar high for next week.  It's no big deal, though.  We just told them that if they don't produce they'll have to walk home.  No pressure...

We were able to attend Claire's first game of the season (aside from the seeding tournament that she missed last weekend) today, and her team won 2-0.  It was a fun game to watch.  It seems like it has been more than just a summer since we last watched her play.  Hopefully they will have a bit more luck this fall than they did last spring!
